Bains' Iqbal is under investigation

The troubles of former Chief Secretary of Bhopal Madhya Pradesh Iqbal Singh Bains are increasing. Investigation has started against Bains in two corruption cases in the Economic Offenses Investigation Bureau and Lokayukta. The Economic Offenses Wing has sought permission from the government to investigate the complaint received against him regarding fake appointments in the Livelihood Mission and other matters. Names of three retired IAS are also included in the case. Whereas Lokayukta has started a fresh investigation into the matter of not collecting night parking charges from the airlines company Yash Airways Limited at the Datana airstrip of Ujjain. Due to Iqbal Bains, who is counted among the most strict officers of the state, coming under the scanner, various things are being said in the administrative court of the state.
It is noteworthy that under the Livelihood Mission, corruption was done on a large scale by making appointments against the rules in the year 2017-18. A complaint has been lodged with EOW regarding this on 12th February. When no action was taken, complainant RK Mishra had filed a complaint in the CJM court, hearing which the court has summoned the status report from the EOW till March 28. RK Mishra told in the court that the responsibility of investigating irregularities in appointments was handed over to IAS Neha Marvya.
